This December 6 - 13th, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will open a window for new Low Power FM applications.  During this time, nonprofit organizations will be able to apply for LPFM frequencies (100 watts @ 100 feet) and build new radio stations to amplify the voices of their communities.  This exciting opportunity is the result of the LCRA - Local Community Radio Act passed by Congress in 2010 after years of activism lead by the Prometheus Radio Project.
