UPDATED APPLICATION WINDOW: DECEMBER 6 - 15th at NOON EST If you are applying for a Low Power FM license on behalf of your organization, check out these helpful resources: DIY LPFM Application Instructions From Todd Urick of Common Frequency LPFM Appplication - Step-by-Step Tutorial From Michelle Bradley of REC Networks begins at 2:38:00 The FCC maintains a website specifically for LPFM updates and information.  It is accessible at www.fcc.gov/media/radio/lpfm This offical website should be monitored for updates concerning the 2023 LPFM Application window.  You will not be able to apply for an LPFM frequency before 12 AM EDT on December 6 or after NOON EST on December 15, 2023! The LPFM the window has been extened by the FCC again due to problems with the electronic filing system. There is no fee to apply for an LPFM license.  Most Engineers will do a preliminary survey for free to determine if there is any availablity in your area.  If so, you may need to pay for an Engineering Study to submit with your FCC application.  Find a list of LPFM-friendly Engineers who will do a professional job without breaking the bank on the "CONNECT" "page of this Website. REACH OUT TO AN LPFM ENGINEER TODAY TO GET YOUR APPLICATION STARTED!!! If you don't have a nonprofit already, check your state Secretary of State website. They may have an online form. You may want to hire an attorney to help you incorporate.  They may charge for legal services but the state processing fee should not cost more than a few dollars. Processing can usually be completed in just a few days. Applying for an LPFM license can be done on little to no budget and the FCC will provide plenty of time to raise money before taking your station on the air.  So pick up a copy of a LOW POWER FM for DUMMIES and take it one step at a time!  You can do this!  Learn more in the "LAUNCH" section of this site.
